Have you ever paused to wonder why the snail crawls slowly? Has it ever struck your imagination to find out why God created all other slow-moving creatures? The pussy cat walks so slowly, cautiously and quietly, do you ever ask yourself why it is like that? Human on the other hand are always in a hurry. I wonder why the generality of the human race are always running like rapid water on a very rainy day. In actual fact, most people today want to be ahead of others, some wants to be ahead of time. Whereas very many would always wish the hand of thier clock could move as fast as that of a stopwatch. It seems that at least ninety per cent of the human race have unconsciously grown used to a hasty lifestyle. They are so deeply involved in this habit that they can’t afford to be calm even when they eat. They want to meet the deadline, they want to be in the forefront ahead of millions of other people. Most people would rather die than see others ahead of them. All these have indirectly contributed to the menace of this habit, many people jeopardize their own very precious existence. In most cases, the habit lands people in unpredictable trouble if not death, and they end up achieving little or nothing of what they had set out to achieve. As most people differ so does their opinions. When asked, these set of people that are addicted to hastiness, have no intelligent answers to give to support their habit. Time is business they would say, time is money and should not be wasted by being slow. The computer is the fastest machine and it can also become faulty when overridden beyond it’s capacity. The man in the car would want to get past the one in the truck, the bike rider would like to overtake the automobile. It has become a familiar sight to see traffic jams where you least expect it to be. This world is going crazy and the people in it are going with it in the most alarming rate. As unhealthy as it is, people engage in this race even till they drop down dead.
